Fees

Receive FREE legal advice and assistance. Unless you are eligible for a fee waiver,  you are responsible for any governmental filing fees.

Application Fee (Paper):
$760.00
USCIS sets the rates for the Citizenship Application Fee.

Fee Waiver: Persons who receive public benefits or have an income below 150% of the poverty line may be able to avoid the application fee. Applicants will be screened for eligibility. Click here to learn more and find out what additional documents to bring.

Other Fees: Applicants who have complicated citizenship cases may not be a good fit for Citizenship Day. In that case, they will receive a referral to a nonprofit service provider may be charged a nominal fee in addition to the governmental fee.

What should I have with me to Citizenship Day?

Bring:
*Original permanent resident card (green card)
*Social Security number
**If you cannot afford the fee, bring proof of income, you may be eligible for a fee waiver  (see more here, bring the documents listed)
Any immigration court documents;
Any criminal court related documents;
If you have had traffic tickets or citations, your DMV record;
Evidence of trips outside the U.S. since becoming a permanent resident - bring your:
All passports (current and expired)
boarding passes or travel itineraries
Completed Preparation for Naturalization Form (link below).
