STEP ONE
Attend Information Session


FREE citizenship information and screening for all individuals and free citizenship application preparation for eligible individuals.

Am I Eligible?

Legal Permanent Residents who meet the eligibility requirements below will be screened on Citizenship Day by trained attorneys for legal eligibility, English proficiency, and fee waivers.
Eligibility Requirements. You Must:
  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have basic English skills*
  • Be a Legal Permanent Resident (or have a "green-card" for at least  5 years or 3 years if married to a US citizen.
  • Have a clean criminal record

STEP TWO
​Gather Documents & Application Fee


Applicants will need to gather documents and the application fee. You will bring them to Citizenship Day. 

You may qualify for a Fee Waiver. Applicants with income above the poverty line may be required to pay a filing fee.

STEP THREE
Attend Citizenship
​Day


After participating at an Information Session, applicant will schedule a Citizenship Day appointment where qualified attorneys and immigration professionals will help you complete your naturalization application.

**Please attend an information session to receive an appointment for AILA Citizenship Day 2020--Walk-in's will be served only if there is availability**
